With a view to further improving its experience and infrastructure, a second mini-satellite project (RASAT) has been initiated by TUBITAK-BILTEN.	Con el propósito de seguir mejorando la infraestructura existente y acumular mayor experiencia, TUBITAK-BILTEN ha puesto en marcha un segundo proyecto sobre un minisatélite (RASAT).
RASAT will be the first satellite designed, developed and built by the Space Department of the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).	Éste será el primero concebido y construido por el Departamento espacial del Consejo de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas de Turquía (TUBITAK).
After know-how was successfully transferred through the BilSAT-1 project (2001-2004), TUBITAK-UZAY started on RASAT, Turkey's first national satellite project, in 2004.
