to neglect

¿Durante cuánto tiempo aún descuidaremos nuestra salvación?	How much longer will we neglect our salvation?
Esto no quiere decir que descuidaremos, por ejemplo, el lugar de trabajo.	This does not mean however that other aspects, such as the workplace, will be neglected.
Si realizamos nuestro trabajo sacramentalmente, no mentiremos ni engañaremos ni nos descuidaremos de realizarlo bien.	If we perform our labor sacramentally, we will not lie or cheat or neglect to perform it well.
Aun si tenemos muchas responsabilidades, no descuidaremos algunas de las responsabilidades mientras cumplimos otras también.	Even if we have many duties, we will not neglect some of the duties while fulfilling other duties well.
O, como los primeros hombres descuidaremos lo que tan generosamente ha sido provisto y seguiremos nuestro propio camino?	Or will we, as the first men, pay little attention to what has been so generously provided and go our own way?
Al mismo tiempo, quiero dejar muy claro que el enfoque en estas áreas no significa que descuidaremos otras áreas no mencionadas aquí en forma explícita.	At the same time, I want to make it very clear that focus on these areas does not mean that other areas not explicitly mentioned here will be neglected.

When we buy new shoes, we think of them beforehand and are particularly careful with them after the purchase; but after a while the interest decreases and we will become careless about the shoes.

De lo contrario, no lograremos cumplir los objetivos de Kyoto, y encima descuidaremos otro, a saber, orientar nuestra economía europea hacia una conciencia moderna de conservación de los recursos, del medio ambiente y del clima.	Otherwise we will not achieve the Kyoto targets, and we will miss the chance to gear the European economy to a modern awareness of the needs of the environment, climate and the protection of resources.
