afligir

Pero tú no me afliges para nada.	You're not inflicting anything on me.
Te afliges porque te sientes insuficiente, o aun, innecesario?	Do you grieve because you feel inadequate, left out, unneeded?
De modo mientras YO te doy una palabra de reprensión para otros y te afliges.	So as I give you a word of rebuke for another one and you grieve.
Entonces Moisés se volvió á Jehová, y dijo: Señor, ¿por qué afliges á este pueblo?	And Moses returned to the Lord, and said: Lord, why hast thou afflicted this people?
¿Por qué te afliges?	And why do you not eat?

Señor, yo sé que tus juicios son justos, y que con justa razón me afliges.	I know, O LORD, that your laws are righteous, and in faithfulness you have afflicted me.

¡Oh América (Estados Unidos), cómo ME afliges!!	Oh America, how you grieve ME.
Si no te afliges, te quedas estancado emocionalmente y pasarás el resto de tu vida reaccionando a algo que sucedió hace mucho tiempo. ¡Eso no es saludable!	What is bad is unprocessed grief. If you don't grieve, you get stuck emotionally, and you spend the rest of your life reacting to something that happened a long time ago. That's unhealthy!
