CONCURSO DE PRECIOS Es uno de los métodos competitivos mediante el cual la Secretaría General determina el proveedor o contratista a quien se va a adjudicar una orden de compra o un contrato.	This is one of the competitive methods whereby the General Secretariat determines which supplier or contractor is to be given a purchase order or awarded a contract.
Cuando el contrato se va a adjudicar al licitador económicamente más ventajoso, la entidad contratante deberá fijar en los documentos del contrato o en el anuncio de licitación los criterios de adjudicación que esta pretende aplicar, si es posible en orden descendente de importancia.	Where the contract is to be awarded to the economically most advantageous tender, the contracting authority shall state in the contract documents or in the tender notice the award criteria which it intends to apply, where possible in descending order of importance.
Si el volumen total solicitado es mayor que el volumen de liquidez que va a adjudicarse, se prorratearán las pujas en función de la relación entre la cantidad que se va a adjudicar y el volumen total solicitado (véase recuadro 4).	If the aggregate amount bid exceeds the total amount of liquidity to be allotted, the submitted bids will be satisfied pro rata, according to the ratio of the amount to be allotted to the aggregate amount bid (see Box 4).
