The Brotherhood of Cape Horners of Chile was founded on November the 17th 1987 in Valparaíso.	La Cofradía de los Capitanes del Cabo de Hornos de Chile fue fundada en Valparaíso el 17 de noviembre de 1987.
In 1994, he was invited by the Chilean Navy to visit Easter Island and, in 1995, he attended the 51st International Cape Horners World Congress held in Valparaíso.	En 1994 fue invitado por la Armada de Chile a visitar la isla de Pascua y en 1995 asistió al Congreso Mundial Cap Horniers celebrado ese año en Valparaíso.
