El proyecto Alhajuela termina oficialmente en julio.	The Alhajuela project officially ends in July.
Martin Mitre, ingeniero de la Autoridad del Canal de Panamá (ACP), informó que los grupos beneficiarios del proyecto Alhajuela se integrarán en el Programa de Incentivos Económicos del Medio Ambiente que está siendo llevado a cabo por la ACP.	Martin Mitre, engineer of the Panama Canal Authority (ACP), reported that the groups benefiting from the Alhajuela project will be integrated into the Environmental Economic Incentives Program being conducted by the ACP.
En los próximos 30 años, se visualiza un aumento en la extracción de agua de los lagos Alhajuela y Gatún para suplir las demandas de agua potable para consumo de la población y para uso comercial e industrial.	It is anticipated that within the next 30 years, there will be an increase in the extraction of water from Madden and Gatun Lakes to satisfy the demand for potable water for the population, and for commercial and industrial use.
Los lagos Gatún y Alhajuela alcanzaron niveles históricos debido a las fuertes lluvias sobre la cuenca del Alhajuela, lo que obligó a vertidos preventivos de las represas de Gatún y Madden.
